This trunk light is designed to look like it came on the car from the factory. It features traditional bulb lighting, so it is not the brightest, but it looks period correct. The wiring tucks behind the OEM Miata trunk trim. The plunger style switch allows the position of the trunk to activate the light. Drilling is required for the plunger switch, UNLESS you create a bracket. Plunger comes with a washer and rubber seal. Wiring the light is simple, just plug in the red wire into the factory Miata tail light connector. This allows you to install the light with NO cutting or splicing of the factory harness. This is the perfect little touch to add to your car to give it the OEM+ style.
